Yummy. I've been going to thehungersite.com for over ten years. Had I had the same web addi, they could calculate for me my impact.

therainforestsite.com is my newest favorite, although I do the whole series (takes 35 seconds to donate to all 5-6 sites in the thread), I am saving most at the rainforest site becuse it's a size of earth a bit bigger than i could possibley stretch my body into.

So, if we all saved a peice of the eart the size of our comfort-zone daily, we should be heading in the right direction.
I want to add that if you shop at thier store (rainforest or hunger is most helpful) then a VERY LARGE AMOUNT of food / land /etc is donated ALSo, even on their clearance stuff.

Thank you thank you for the warm and welcomed list of other similar sites ;) I will enjoy them daily, too.

The way these sites usually work is that the advertisers on the page your click links you actually pay for the donation you just made. So cool.
DONT GO MORE THAN ONCE IN 24 hours from the same computer, but if you are on several computers you're sure no one else is using for those things, you can donate several times a day ;) - Star , posted 01/18/07

It's all free
At the top of this site, you’ve a nr. of sponsered sites on which you could click every day for free to help people and nature. The sites included are concerned with hunger, breast cancer, child health, literacy, rainforest and animal rescue. For example, one click on the rainfrest site funds the preservation of 11.4 square feet of endangered rainforest; a click on the hunger site helps feed the hungry with the value of 1.1 cups of staple food etc. To avoid forgetting, you could add this site to your daily favourites.

Please, don't underestimate the impact of just clicking on a button; but of course, you can do a lot more. Happy holidays and all the very best for 2007! - Sanaag , posted 12/18/06
